ConvertGo is a privacy-first application. We don't collect your personal data. All your information stays on your device.

Information We Store

ConvertGo stores data locally on your device. This includes:

Your home country and destination country
Your travel budget and expenses
App preferences (theme, language)
Cached exchange rates for offline use

This data never leaves your device. We cannot access it.

What We Don't Collect

We do not collect personal information, including:

Name, email, or phone number
Financial amounts or transactions
Precise location data
Any information that identifies you

Location Permission

ConvertGo can optionally use your location to detect when you arrive in a new country. This feature is:

Entirely optional — you can deny permission
Used only to determine your country, not precise location
Processed on your device — never transmitted to servers

Third-Party Services

Exchange Rates

We use the ExchangeRate-API (open.er-api.com) to fetch currency exchange rates. This API receives no personal information — only the currency codes needed to provide rates.

Data Security

Since all data is stored locally:

Your data is as secure as your device
We cannot access, view, or delete your data
Uninstalling the app removes all data

Children's Privacy

ConvertGo does not collect any information from anyone, including children. The app is safe for all ages.

Your Rights

Because we don't collect personal data, there's nothing to access or delete from our servers. All your data remains under your control on your device.

We may update this policy occasionally. Significant changes will be noted in the app.
